BASQUE INDUSTRY 4.0 is a commitment by the Basque Government to the incorporation of intelligence in means and production systems, the use of emerging capabilities and technologies in new products and processes, the integration of advanced materials in higher value-added solutions or improved processes, the efficiency and sustainability of the resources used and the integration of high value-added services.

Since we at SCUDER heard about this innovative strategy, we have been considering how we could help our customers, in addition to the machine tool protection elements we manufacture, with solutions for controlling the machining processes performed by those same machines, solutions that would help them in their technological development to ensure their positioning in market niches with greater added value.
It was during this reflection that we decided to investigate the existing machining operation control and monitoring systems on the market, confirming that they were hardly offered or implemented by our clients.
So, we got to work, and by collaborating with AREA7 , a leading company in security solutions and surveillance equipment, we achieved an optimal result to meet the needs of our clients.

We have developed a machine tool monitoring solution focused on controlling machining processes by placing high-definition cameras inside the machine, allowing viewing on a screen from a control point, either located on the machine itself or in the technical office, or via a tablet or mobile phone from anywhere else.
This system works with a high-definition network video recording station (NVR) that allows you to view live and recorded video data from up to 64 cameras for later analysis. In addition to being resistant to coolant splashes, the cameras feature a remote control system with built-in zoom and infrared LEDs for viewing in low-light conditions.
